If you are an LIC agent, you may already be using the Super Sales Saathi App to check your business, commission, policies and renewal information. But the app has many other useful features that you may not notice during regular use.
I have found that some of these features can actually help in daily insurance work. You don't have to use everything every day. But if you know where a particular feature is available, you can use it whenever the need comes.

So, let's look at 10 useful features of the LIC Super Sales Saathi App and understand how an agent can actually use them.
1. Check Policy Status When a Customer Calls You
Suppose a customer calls you and asks, “Sir, meri policy ka status kya hai?” At that moment, you may not remember all the details of that particular policy.
Instead of searching through old records, you can use the Super Sales Saathi App to check the available policy information. You can search for the customer and check the related policy details.
This becomes more useful when you have been working for many years and have a large number of policies. You cannot remember every policy, but you can use the app to quickly find the information you need.
2. Check the FUP Date and Follow Up With the Customer
FUP means First Unpaid Premium. The FUP date can give you an idea about a policy where the premium has not been paid as expected.
For example, if you notice that a customer's policy has an FUP date and the premium is still unpaid, you can contact the customer and ask if there is any problem with the payment.
Sometimes the customer may have simply forgotten the premium date. Sometimes there may be a payment-related issue. If you know about it early, you can follow up instead of finding out much later.
3. Use the Service Request Section for Customer Updates
An insurance agent's work is not finished after selling a policy. Customers also come to us for different service requirements. The Service Request section in the app can be useful for such work.
You can find options related to NEFT Update, PAN Update, KYC Update, Address Update and Contact Update. So, when a customer asks you to update something, you can check the relevant service option instead of being unsure about where to start.
For example, if a customer has changed their mobile number or address, you can check the available service option and guide the customer accordingly. Small service requests like these are a regular part of an agent's work.
4. Keep Checking Your MDRT Progress
If you are working towards MDRT, don't wait until the end of the year to check your progress. The Super Sales Saathi App allows you to see your current-year MDRT progress.
You can check your achievement based on premium and commission, see how much you have already achieved, how much is still required and what percentage of the target has been completed.
You can also check your MDRT history and information related to COT and TOT. This means you can keep an eye on your progress without depending on someone else for every update.
For example, if you are halfway through the year and your progress is lower than what you expected, you still have time to change your working plan and focus on the business you need.
5. Check Festival Advance Eligibility and Apply Online
There is also a Festival Advance option in the app. If you are eligible for it, you can check the available information and follow the online request process.
This can be useful because agents sometimes need information about such facilities but may not always want to visit the branch just to ask about the basic process.
You can first check the information available in the app and understand whether you are eligible and what steps are required. The actual eligibility and approval will depend on the applicable LIC rules and conditions.
6. Check Your MBG Achievement Status
MBG means Minimum Business Guarantee. If MBG is applicable to your agency, you can use the app to check your achievement status.
For example, instead of waiting until the end of the period to know whether you have achieved the required business, you can keep checking your position during the year.
This can help you plan your work. If you still have a gap to cover, you know that in advance and can focus on your prospecting, meetings and business activities accordingly.
7. Use Renewal Information for Customer Follow-Up
Renewal is one of the most important parts of an insurance agent's long-term business. Selling a new policy is important, but keeping existing policies in force and helping customers with their renewal is also part of our responsibility.
The Super Sales Saathi App provides renewal-related information that you can use for follow-up. Suppose several customers have premiums coming up. You can check the information and plan whom you need to contact.
Instead of waiting for the customer to call you after missing the premium, you can contact them beforehand. In my experience, this kind of regular follow-up also helps maintain a better relationship with existing customers.
8. Check Your Auto Debit Mandate Ratio
The app also shows the Auto Debit Mandate Set-Up Ratio. For example, you may see something like 25/343 = 7%.
Now, what does this actually tell you? It gives you an idea of how many policies have an auto-debit mandate compared with the total number of policies in your agency.
You can use this information to understand your existing portfolio better. When you are servicing customers or discussing payment options, this information can also help you understand how much of your existing business is already using auto-debit.
It is a small number, but numbers like this can help you understand your business from a different angle.
9. Search for a Customer by Name
Imagine you have 300, 500 or even more customers. One customer suddenly calls you and says, “Sir, mera policy check karke bataiye.”
You may remember the customer's face and name, but you may not remember the policy number. In this situation, the live search option can be very useful.
You can search for the customer by name within your agency and find the related policies. You can then check the available policy information and status. As the number of customers grows, a simple search facility like this can save you a lot of time.
10. Use the Renewal Premium Calendar to Plan Your Month
The Renewal Premium Calendar is useful when you want to know what renewal work is coming up. You can check the policies due in the current month and the next month.
For an agent, this can be more useful than simply looking at a long list of customers. You can see which customers are coming up for renewal and start your follow-up accordingly.
You can also see information related to first-year premium and subsequent renewal premiums. For example, if you have many renewals coming in the next month, you can start contacting those customers early instead of waiting until the last few days.
These Features Can Help You in Different Situations
The important thing is that you don't need to use all these features every day. Some features are useful when you are checking your business, some when you are working towards MDRT, and others when you are handling customer service or renewal work.
For example, when a customer calls, you may need the customer search or policy status feature. When you are planning your monthly work, the renewal calendar can help. When you are checking your own business progress, MDRT or MBG information may be more useful.
So, my suggestion is simple: take some time to explore the app properly. You may already have access to information that you were previously checking through other methods.
Super Sales Saathi Is One Tool, But Your Daily Work Needs More
Super Sales Saathi is useful for LIC-related business information, policy information, renewals and other activities. But an insurance agent's daily work is much bigger than these things alone.
We also need to manage customer records, policy details, follow-ups and other day-to-day activities. This is one of the reasons I developed Mitra – Insurance Agent App.
Mitra is an independent app designed for insurance agents and advisors who want a simple way to manage their policy and customer-related work. It is not an LIC app and it does not replace LIC's official applications.
For me, the idea is simple. Use the official LIC tools for LIC-related services and information, and use other useful tools wherever they can make your own daily work easier.
Final Thoughts
The Super Sales Saathi App is not only about checking your business performance or commission. Once you explore it properly, you can find several features that can be useful in your regular insurance work.
The real benefit comes when you actually apply these features. Check the FUP date and follow up with customers. Use the renewal calendar to plan your month. Check your MDRT progress regularly. Search for customer information when you need it.
As an insurance agent, our work does not end with selling a policy. We also have to look after customers, manage renewals, handle service requirements and keep track of our own business.
That is why I feel it is worth knowing these features. You may not need every feature today, but when the situation comes, knowing where to find the right information can make your work much easier.
